The Best Sweets and Pastries in Prague

In the historic center of Prague you can see thousands of tourists falling into a tourist trap every day. And they just want to taste that traditional pastry everybody talks about - trdelník. Traditional? Not really... In fact, trdelník is just an overpriced piece of dough. Ten years ago hardly anyone knew about it. It's fake, it's expensive, it's not traditional at all and it's not even that good... The real trdelník comes from Romania. Then Hungarians made it famous and named it Kürtőskalács. For good and genuine trdelník go to Hungary or Slovakia. If you don't want to pay more than 2 euros for nothing (or even more than 4 euros for nothing with a bad ice-cream in it) check our tips for the best sweets and pastries in Prague! You will taste the best koláč, bábovka, zákusky, chlebíčky, ice-cream and many more!
